Dan Burton
Sonographer
Dan is a highly experienced Sonographer with sixteen years experience and a Masters of Medical Ultrasound. His curiosity for medical ultrasound was sparked working in emergency departments in Sydney and London seeing the best and worst of people in critical situations. Dan reports the ability to observe the internal organs and tissues rapidly, painlessly, accurately with no bio effects has continued to fascinate, drive and engage him. Dan’s depth of knowledge, and professionalism combined with a charismatic, caring nature provides a holistic quality diagnostic imaging service.
Dan’s wife and children returned to New Zealand in 2018 to be closer to family locating to the South Wairarapa early 2021. The plan to provide an ultrasound service in the region was born to provide local access to services and avoid the arduous hill journey for diagnostic imaging.
The simultaneous development of state of the art Five Rivers Medical was a perfect match for Greyscale Ultrasound. As a husband-and-wife team Dan and Melanie’s vision is to provide a comprehensive high quality ultrasound center of excellence in the region.
